Well, the English Breakfast tea is brewing in a pot shaped like a melting clock from The Persistence of Memory (the spout is the crown of one of the pocket watches). An Englishman, Irishman and Welshman are on the Scottish radio show and a slice of light fruit cake is on the table. The newly-applied paint on the walls has a whiff of fresh grass about it as I sink into the deep blue corduroy-covered armchair in my new room in the QI mansion.

Hello fellow residents. A pleasure to meet you all.

Hi, MrJC.

Civil Engineer, by any chance? Or do you have a house sixteen storeys high?

Of course, everybody is welcome to a cup of tea (although it's looking a bit stewed, I'll have to refill my clock).

I am indeed the most civil of civil engineers. However did you guess? My home is twenty-six storeys high. One for each number up to twenty-six.
