tetsabb	903853.  Mon Apr 23, 2012 6:47 pm Google tells me I could get there in little over 3 hours (about the same to Bletchley), so I could make it three. Though I see they have 'dressing up' sessions, which I think Mike should avoid... One thought -- this museum is not far from Bournemouth/Weymouth so any thoughts of a meet up there should possibly avoid Olympic time, as the A31 and other road in the area might be chocka with people going to see the sailing events at Weymouth.
Sadurian Mike	904507.  Thu Apr 26, 2012 12:23 pm I see that 30th June/1st July is Tankfest weekend. All the moving tanks that you could hope for* plus lots of other stuff. However, seeing the museum properly is a few hours worth of the day, so having the display outside at the same time would be a waste. I wonder if a whole weekend might be the answer.... *I realise that for some people this might be the number '0'.

Family holiday one year my granddad (who is still living during the blitz) went to the tank museum, some people went to monkey world and I went to see rise of the planet of the apes.
filofax	912803.  Wed May 30, 2012 10:53 am I will be in Edinburgh from 15 - 21 August. I will of course have about 6 billion family obligations, but I would also love to meet up with any forummers who fancy a jaunt north of the border. I do realise that this is full on festival time, so it might be a bit chancy. If it doesn't happen, tant pis - I just thought I would throw the idea out there.
