Hats and headgear would provide sufficent scope for a programme.

Hippo in the room as a theme

Perhaps an actual hamster in the room as a theme ,the hippo might be too big to fit in the room.

The klaxon would sound for any mention of Richard Gere.

That train has been and gone really.

What they should do, tough, is do one on happiness and invite Jack Dee, Bob Mortimer and Vic Reeves, then don't tell Jack that they brought their drainpipes. (if you don't get it, watch Shooting Stars 2009 series)

Henry Cavendish, " the man who weighed the world" (and did some other scientific things, too).

Heresy
Hip-Hop (not necessarily sticking the music kind)
Hibernia (so they can save Italy as the country for the I series)
House of Commons
Homosexuality
Hegemony (plenty of lovely/awful/interesting colonial stuff they could discuss, for example)
Henrys (or is Henries?)

Hibernia was Ireland, not Italy, wasn't it?

Also, I've mentioned this to Frederick the Monk, but I thought it would be amusing (at least, for me) to have at least one of the buzzers on the show related to The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band.
If that could be somehow worked in, I would be most grateful!

That was my point. If you put Ireland in the H series, you can do Italy in the I series. (Or Iceland. Or Indonesia. Okay, maybe it wasn't the best plan. :))

Ah, I see. Then why not do Italy and Ireland separately, considering there are 16 episodes?

Paul Merton, Frankie Boyle, Noel Fielding, Frank Skinner and Russel Howard should appear. As well as more Vic Reeves, David Mitchell, Sean Lock, Bill Bailey, Phill Jupitus and Rob Brydon.

And, I don't know, hedge-trimmers. There's my theme suggestion.

EDIT: Hauntings should be one , even if it's not a Halloween episode. That sort of thing is really interesting IMO, especially when we know the real explanations for the supposedly supernatural events. The panel could be made to guess what might have caused the illusion of a haunting, that could make for a funny round, especially if you get Vic Reeves or Bill Bailey on there. It'd be like Jonathan Creek, but on a panel show.

Also, more of an effort should be made to trick the panel and deviate from the standard format IMO. Like in the first few series in which no-one but Stephen knew what was going on. General Ignorance should be mixed up throughout the show and not announced, or it should be filled with 50% double bluffs with "...not *obvious answer*?" setting off the klaxon.

Well, that's getting into the I series, but they only seem to one country-themed episode per series (at least, over the last three they have: England, France, Germany).

The Christmas episode (if there is one) should, quite clearly, be "Humbug".

Haberdashery might be another good theme.
