There are three hedgehogs in the human body - the desert, the Indian and Sonic.

It should be pointed out that these hedgehogs are actually genes. And for those wondering, yes, the Sonic gene is named after Sonic the Hedgehog, the video game character.

Strange.

Are hegdehog spines hair-based? I think they might be.

Yes, hedgehog spines are modified hairs. This hideous monster is hedgehog which has lost its spines.

Apart from the scaly skin that is very cute. A tub of Nivea would sort him out.

a hedgehog with alopecia? Poor little b****r.

That's not a hedgehog, it's a brown Fimble.

I knew it reminded me of something.

I haven't seen that programme for a few years, mind; not since the boys discovered Spongebob, Transformers and Ben 10.

Nowhere near as ugly as a naked mole rat.

Does it have more than one spine or is it a typo

There was a nearly-quill-less hedgehog on the One Show today. He was called Spud and he looked quite cute. But I think hedgehogs are pretty cute anyway. I haven't seen one round here for quite a while now, maybe a couple of years. They're probably still about, though.

Ooh, we had a thread about them way back, starting at post 100373.

The point was then made that there is a passing resemblance between a naked mole rat and a human penis. (Except for the teeth, as djgordy pointed out for the benefit of the unmarried female readership.)

Should you not have teeth on the end then?

Is a handlebar moustache okay?
