I'd been thinking about doing that... but been too lazy...

Did you cut ovals, and then rotate them - or were the practicalities more difficult?

I was using MS Paint so I could only do small rectangles rather than ovals – but I could zoom in for better precision. After cutting a relevant section, I dragged it somewhere, rotated it by 180° and pasted it back on the face. The whole job took less than two minutes.

You have to choose your face carefully. Some faces are funny in that you can’t get a funny face out of them at all.

I think this one's already been done.

Nice one SadMike.

It's amazing the prosthetics that had in the LOTR films... I wonder if swapping the eyes and mouth on this troll will be an improvement?

I think I'm struggling...

Here - I just tried swapping things back on Mike's offering:

Looks like an improvement.

Wasn't she in Red Dwarf? The episode with the simulant and the Gunmen of the Apocalypse?

Incidentally, I did my original facejob of Stephen Fry by rotating the mouth and eyes through 180°. Looking carefully at the pictures of the faces of Margaret Thatcher and Alan Davies, however, I realize that the transformation ought to have been a horizontal reflection instead. So this is how Stephen’s face should be:

I just came across this quite interesting BBC news report on a claim that monkeys respond to the Thatcher effect the same way as humans do:

With Stephen's face the illusion isn't quite the same simply because of his bent nose.

Stephen to me looks like the kind of santa you wish your parents would have hired instead of the passive aggressive alcoholic.
He'd be amusing too.
I want him at my christmas party now :P

All I know on the monkey subject is that if you show them your teeth.. they get touchy :)
So be careful with the grinny smiles.
