According to the TV section of the QI website, the recording dates to Series G have been confirmed. As has been previously reported, Series G will be the biggest, or rather the most gigantic, being 16 episodes long. The dates for the recordings are, "8th May 2009 and thereafter on May 9th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 26th, 28th, 29th, June 2nd, 4th, 5th, 9th, 11th, and 12th."

However, I do not believe tickets have not yet been made available.

Do we know who's on them (besides S+A)?

I believe details of the guest are not revealed in advance. We won't know whose on them until after the recording.

Or at the recording, if you go to it ;). You find out who the guests are when they're introduced by Stephen on the night.

I've been to one recording per series for the last three - as much fun as it is, there's only so much queueing one man can take.

I've been just to one recording - the "Fight or Flight" episode show last month. I was one of unlucky people to hear Pam Ayres unedited.

I went to three episodes last year. Haven't been to any prior to that, but I expect I shall be going to some more in the future :).

That's funny, because I consider myself one of the lucky people to hear her live.

Well, that's your view. I think that she was one of the poorer guests - in the Gyles Brandreth/Rory McGrath/Jonathan Ross category of people who found them too busy trying to be "Too interesting" rather than being funny. You need the right mix of both interestingness and funniness in my POV.

How can you say that Giles Brandreth isn't funny? I so want to loathe him for being a Tory MP (not to mention the fact that he snuggles up too close to a certain lady I would like to snuggle up to on a certain afternoon Channel 4 TV programme) but he is actually quite funny.

Bastard!

Yeah, Gyles was very good and quite charming. I can't say that any panellist was unsuccessful unless they didn't say much, and even then there's little to be said against them. Not everyone is a comedian, but neither Pam nor Gyles (nor Jonathan nor Rory) had any lack of humor.

I'm just saying that if these panellists are so good, how come most of them have only appeared once on the show? OK, Pam Ayres has only been this series, but Ross has only appeared once in Series C, McGrath twice (both in Series B) and Glyes Brandreth once in Series A.

When will the official elves decide on a final episode topic distribution? I'm assuming it will be somewhere ahead of time, so they can add some last-minute questions in.

MacGyver, we have been working since December and currently have a list of around 20 general topics as well as hundreds of questions.

The scripts (such as they are) will be written in Aprilish, and last minute alterations made thereon-in until the day of recording.

Of course, that's all in an ideal world....
