It was all nautical for the Flotsam and Jetsam show as well and had jingle bells in for the Xmas special.

No, chris means it was nautical for another episode called "Flotsam and Jetsam", so it has been temparily been altered before.

Yes, no that was what I meant - that I hadn't noticed it sounding nautical in the Flotsam and Jetsam episode. I definitely noticed the Frenchiness of the French show - that was one that I went to so I remembered it from the recording anyway.

just watched the extended repeat, question: Why was the material left out of the 30 min show funnier and more interesting than the whole 30 min show ?

Short answer barney - the show's been transferred to BBC1 and BBC1 has a sfb controller.
