Hello! I suffer from an unhealthy appreciation of any sort of statistics, and another forum I regular on recently changed some sort of setting to make public all sorts of usage statistics.

I would squirm with glee if something similar could be easily enabled on these forums, like a list of the most prolific users, forum hits by country, peak time forum use, and suchforth! I imagine you may be concerned about spybot stealing information or something, or it might not be easy to implement, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I may be only person who'd appreciate it, but the magnitude of that appreciation would make up for it!

Most prolific posters can be had: go to memberlist (top left) and there you can sort by number of posts etc.

It's not about winning the race though. The important thing is to take part.

I made a similar comment in the report spam thread.

If only others would use that level of imagination then they might not be so tedious.

The reason I like it so much is

a) It's for air pipes. Not porn, shoes or iPods, but air pipes.
b) It's appallingly written and surreally placed, meaning that the realisation of a) spreads across you slowly over the course of a few seconds.

It's almost worth suggesting to leave the post there, just replace the link with some other test, like "I posted a nasty spam link, but at least I was imaginative enough to disguise it in a decent post"

Then let it serve as a lesson to all other spammers
