Getting back to the confusion of what was said, it does bring up the difficulty of translating spoken language to text if you don't know the language.

When it's then a language that doesn't use Latin alphabet it makes it more open to interpretation when you're trying to use Latin alphabet phonetically, as some of the messages on my facebook wall will attest :)

What he said means "I have spilt coffee on anteater"

What he should have said was "Jeg har spildt kaffe på myreslugeren" (the d in spildt is silent)

What he said can't be properly transcribed in Danish, because the sounds aren't quite right, but it sounds like "Jeg har spildt kaffe på myrreslyger"

Oh, and I'm Danish...

Welcome to the forums, vakanusanu :-)

Does your username have an English meaning?

@Jenny: Thank you :-)

No, my name is just gibberish - I wanted to make sure my username could be used everywhere online, so it had to be something noone else would ever use. (Turned out I can't use it everywhere, because the middle part can be read as a rude word. Never thought of that...)

@picture: Aww

Perhaps you may like to view this website and recommend it to your correspondent to prevent coffee being spilt on the anteater.
