Interesting. I do know that like Stephen, (and millions of others I might add) he suffers from depression. That might explain it. Or he might just be a prickly fellow.

And just when did QI become a team game, then?
:-)

Before it was first shown. The original idea was to have Stephen as the head of the clever team and Alan as head of the stupid team, but the idea was scrapped before any episodes were made.

I checked the Wikipedia entry for the J series, and was rather displeased with the choice of the two Australian (well, one NZ and one Aus) comedians - now, I'm aware that there are still quite a few recordings still left to be filled, but really? Out of all the Australian comedians, them? I'm also aware that you could do a lot worse, but were the others all booked?

NZ and Aus are not the same thing! I expect certain forummers to be quite upset at that!
'Antipodean' would have been a suitable word, innit?
:-)

It's reallllly far to travel for one show. Unless they're based in the UK or on a tour that allows them time to appear on the show, I can't see it being easy.

Hmmm, I wonder when there will finally be a panelist from Canada. But, please, don't let it be Stewart Francis....

I think that's the reason that both panelists are booked twice, each appearing on successive episodes.

Er, you do know Zomg is an Aussie? And the reason he said what he did was that one comedian was originally from NZ but pretty much lives in Australia now and has done for some time. Sometimes the line between Aussie/Kiwi can get blurred depending on where they were born and where they live now, Russell Crowe thought of as Aussie but was born in NZ and moved here when he was 4. Sam Neill who is sometimes considered either an Aussie or from NZ was born in Northern Ireland and didn't move to NZ until he was 7.

i think Tetsabb was probably joking/ being silly, as is evident by his use of a smiley.

Edit: Cool, i just realised that sort of rhymes.
