I haven't read the whole thread but saw some suggestions I would definitely agree with: Maureen Lipman was mentioned at the beginning; great suggestion! As were those for Dawn French and Adam Hart Davis.

I don't know if they've been mentioned, but I'd like to see Paul Whitehouse, Johnny Ball (if he hasn't retired!) and Sean Hughes.

I was glad to see Frank Skinner finally appear in the last series and also Sarah Millican, whom I'd never heard of before but thought was brilliant. They can both come back! :-)

i don't think Johnny Ball has retired as he was on Woman's Hour today.

He strikes me as one of those people who are so full of energy that they will only retire when physically unable to move.

He sounded manly and was talking about being a grandfather so i don't think he's become a woman.

Sounds more like he's an old woman now.

I should like to see Bill Oddie - I know he's getting on up there but he seems to be still active

He was awful on Buzzcocks though, I'm not sure he's suited to panel games.

I saw him on 'Buzzcocks' and also 'Shooting Stars' and he looked very uncomfortable on both. Phil Jupitus stated that he couldn't understand what was bugging him on 'Buzzcocks' but said something along the lines of him just not wanting to enjoy the experience.

I've seen him on a couple of things and he seems to be a very prickly sort of bloke. Might be fun to put him on the same team as Brandreth.
