... means, in US army parlance

So maybe there's a question on the lines of "Why should you worry if American soldiers come round for a bit of FISH?", with notes on other military euphemisms such as these:

Area Denial Munitions - land mines
Collateral Damage - civilian casualties
Protective Custody - imprisonment without trial
Air Campaign - bombing
Strategic Exchange - nuclear war

Hubble Space Technology is being used to track whale sharks. The spots on a whale shark look so much like constellations of stars that the Australian conservation group Ecocean teamed up with NASA to adapt Hubble space telescope software - called recognition technology - to help them identify individual whales by their markings. Each whale has a spot pattern that is as unique as stars in a galaxy. The system uses triangulation, it works based on angles between each spot or star, as the shark grows the spots move apart but the angles between them stay the same so over time conservationists are able to continually recognise individual whale sharks.

According to Wikipedia, F.I.S.H. is a British Army acronym. Sources on this are scant.

There is also the FIST - a team attached to companies to coordinate artillery support. Sort of an FAO* but with slightly more power.

*Forward Artillery Observer.
