Off topic it has never ceased to impress me just how well Top Gear manage to offend people which is exactly what they set out to do. To take offense at the character Clarkson plays is to fall victim to the joke.

On topic I named my pet hamster Special Patrol Group after the Young Ones rodent too, that strange, violent Scottish bloated thing it is. As for Lemmiwinks, he was a gerbil.
